How I Help You
Meet Steve. Having graduated only a few years ago from undergrad, he is finding that his first job is no longer his forever job. He needs to revise his resume, learn how to reconnect with his alumnae community and wants to know how to use LinkedIn and Twitter for his job search.
Say hello to Lily. She’s made it through the interview process and has an offer from a company she is really excited about. She hasn’t the slightest idea what to negotiate or how. She needs to practice before she speaks to the employer.
Violet is ready. Ready for a promotion. Uncertain about what actions she could take beyond those she already has, she knows her next move is to bring this up with her boss. She’s made a list of her contributions to the company and in her role in preparation but is frozen from taking any further actions and needs a plan.
Alex feels confused. Some unrest in the office during this past year has led him to re-evaluate whether or not he wants to stay with his current company or even in his field. He feels disheartened by what he has experienced and cannot seem to find clarity and move beyond this burnout stage. He wants to make a transition and embrace the change but needs a professional partner as a guide.

I am that professional partner! As a career coach, certified resume writer, and networking strategist, I customize the focus, tools, and content of our work together to support your professional goals. Change can be difficult and you do not have to go it alone.

About Meghan
To inspire mid-career professionals to address all fears associated with a career change, discover what is possible professionally and devise a customized action plan that makes what you want a reality
Changing a career is equally scary as it is exciting. As a career development professional with 10 years of experience who recently transitioned from a full-time, traditional role in higher education to an entrepreneurial adventure, I understand how and strive to help mid-career professionals, like you, get unstuck and empowered to explore what is possible!

My advice has appeared in the Huffington Post College blog, Higher Ed Beyond the University, the NASPA Women in Student Affairs Blog, NerdScholar and I speak regionally, nationally and internationally at professional association conferences, for non-profit professionals and community organizations.

I am a certified resume writer (2016) and an AAUW Start Smart/Work Smart Salary Negotiation expert.

Lastly, I consult with Spelman and Johnson, a higher education executive search firm, supporting candidates and the company’s search processes and contributing pieces to their blog and other marketing efforts.

My community engagement and enrichment efforts include serving as co-chair of the regional chapters committee for Franklin and Marshall College’s alumni board, launching an alumni engagement initiative called the True Blue Corps for the same organization, co-leading the Chapters Committee (2015-2016), and co-leading the new Alumni Communities Committee (2015-2016). Prior to this work, I served as Executive Co-Chair for the Northampton Area Young Professionals group, supervising a team of 6 volunteer leaders to grow this non-profit organization in collaboration with the local chamber of commerce. I am a graduate of Leadership Pioneer Valley (2014) and recently served as a team coach for 6 of the 35-member class who graduated from the program in 2016. Finally, I previously served as a member of a 4-person team driving an online community and school for entrepreneurs called the Do + Make Business District. These efforts in higher education, entrepreneurship and the local community support my goals to engage individuals in leadership, professional and personal growth opportunities.
Certifications: Myers Briggs Type Indicator (2012), Hubspot Inbound Marketing (2016) and Academy Certified Resume Writer (2015). Association Memberships: National Career Development Association (NCDA), American Association of University Women (AAUW), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators and the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Meghan went over and above during the process of fine tuning my LinkedIn Profile especially my Linked summary and my resume. She provided professionally relevant feedback about changes that needed to be made and in my LinkedIn Profile and resume to put my best foot forward. Meghan constructed an amazing LinkedIn summary that highlighted my job skills and work experiences resulting in a summary that fully captured me professionally and represented my personal mission as well. Meghan’s presentation was highly engaging and informative. Participants talked about how Meghan gave them advice they had never heard about resumes before, and her ideas were so specific that they were able to be implemented right away. Meghan transformed what is too often a stressful task—creating a winning resume—into something we all felt ready to tackle. Amy Cooperman + AmeriCorps participants

I am prepared for my next two interviews with my negotiating skills that I have learned from the Fundraising Career Conference and Meghan Godorov! I was speaking with a HR person and they asked me my range on a phone interview. I handled it like a champ thanks to her help! I said, “I am willing to consider any reasonable offer that would account for my work experience and education. Was there a range you had in mind?”  And then they gave a number! I couldn’t believe it, and it was a good number. Thank you so much for all of your good advice at the conference! Natalie Ramos

Philanthropy Coordinator, Northwestern Memorial Foundation at Delnor Hospital
